Pastor Melody Williams hails from the Southern Region of the state of New Jersey. She acquiesced her life to Christ at the tender age of seven and was baptized by her father, The Late Rev. Dr. Ernest Council Sr. Early in life, she garnished exemplary leadership skills, held elected positions throughout her secular education and she pursued higher education as a biology and psychology major…all for the “Master's” use.

In 1991, she joined Bethany Baptist Church of Somerdale, NJ, under the leadership of Bishop David. G. Evans.  It was there that the Lord nurtured the seeds of ministry planted in her life. Her abilities, gifts and calling were tested, tried and developed in youth counseling, women’s ministry, conference coordinating, choral direction and as coordinator of the singles' ministry. Bishop David G. Evans affirmed her true calling and her burden for the “spiritually wounded”.  On December 17, 1995, Pastor Williams was officially licensed to preach the oracles of God. She continued her theological studies through Bethany’s Ministers-In-Training Program. Her dedication and diligence would yield bountiful blessings. On May 17, 1998, Bishop Evans and the Abundant Harvest Fellowship proudly ordained her.
